Help - This page
YOU MUST 'UPDATE YOUR INFO' AND SIGN IN TO BE SEEN ON THE BOARD
Directly below these black heading boxes and just below the site name
is a place to "update your info"...this is very simple..just click
there and put in your callsign, first name, your state, and your grid
location (email address or URL Homepage link optional). YOU MUST
FILL THIS INFORMATION OUT TO BE LISTED ON THE BOARD. Once you fill
this out you will not have to do it again unless you want to change
the information for some reason...so anytime you go to this site you
are ready to go and your computer knows to sign you on under the
information you last put in.
Once you are on the board you can update your status, mode and
frequency at anytime to let others know what you are doing so they
might work you. For example if I were going to LOG IN and want
others to know I am trying PSK31 on 144.150 then I would do just that
and click the pull down arrow on the status and choose 'CQ', then
click the pull down arrow on the mode and choose 'PSK', and last post
my frequency of 144.150 in the freq box....then hit the grey 'UPDATE'
box just below the status area. Now everyone on the board knows
where I am and what I am trying....I also might add a note in the
blank box just below the status box 'west'..or beaming west.
The Message box in the middle of the screen is for communicating with
others on the board if no radio contact is possible or for setting up
to try a contact with someone you see on the board. You have to just
write your message in the blank area then hit 'Post'...then your
message will post to the group board. You also can again
hit 'refresh' to make the message communiction faster because the
site only updates by itself once every minute (AGAIN EVERY 60 SECONDS
THIS SITE UPDATES FOR CURRENT INFO AND MESSAGES POSTED).
If you click on a person
callsign on the board it not only again give you the station
informatio it will also give you bearing direction and distance to
that station.
One more feature on the site...you can click the little arrow (old
messages) or star (new messages) next to a message to get information
about the message (such as the time it was posted).
